Mitt Romney's Campaign

Thomas Dworzak wonders about Mitt Romney's campaign. He moves so quickly, it's often hard to notice that there's not much nutrition being offered and much that is being avoided. He nevermentions Iraq in his stump speech. He talks ? well, offers one sentence ? about the challenge of "global Islamic jihad." And because he doesn'tdwell on it, his audiences don't.

The energy needed during a presidential campaign must be high for the road to the White House is long. However, we have been through so many campaigns with empty promises, tons of rhetoric, and blatant half-truths that the time is ripe for our ears to listen carefully, our minds to wonder about hidden messages as well as unspoken words, and to reflect on the meaning of voting in the wrong person to an office which demonstrates the best and worst of Americans. Vote in the wrong person and we go to an unwarranted war. Vote in the wrong person and lives are lost. Vote for the wrong person and civil liberties are lost. Vote in the wrong person and we spend billions on making sure select companies (and people) grow wealthier.
Pay close attention during this election cycle and make sure your vote is not spent on emotion but for reasons of hope and love.
