John McCain continues to sit in the Bush corner on such hot topics as the Bush War and now the Pay for Freedom Bill. While some presidential candidates are against the latest attempt to provide amnesty to over 12 million people who entered the country illegally, McCain attempts to circumvent the topic by saying the opponents have not provided alternatives. Apparently, McCain does not know about all of the laws already on the books. Entering the country illegally is a crime, isn't it? Considering that McCain already showed us that crime is irrelevant by his actions as a member of the Keating Five, maybe crime is not a problem in this country. We can all now sleep at night knowing there are no crimes.
Continuing with this reasoning, apparently entering places without permission is fine, too. Maybe 12 million citizens should push their way onto the white house and Congressional grounds and explain the politicians are representatives of citizens and not the lobbyists representing their own interests and people from other countries. Can you imagine how the "forces" would react if people actually tried to enter the white house premises without permission? How strange that we allow double standards for our politicians homes versus our own. We freely give up our freedoms so that others may profit.
